General Practitioners

A general practitioner (GP) is a medical practitioner who treats acute and chronic illnesses and provides preventive care and health education to patients. Their duties are not confined to specific organs of the body, and they have particular skills in treating people with multiple health issues.

Visits to GP surgeries are free in all countries of the United Kingdom, but charges for prescription only medicine vary.

However, before you can be allowed to see a GP you would need to have registered with a Health Surgery where you live and then be allowed access to the GP.
